Fatehpur Sikri: Fatehpur sikiri is popularly known as “The Ghost City” or “ Abandoned City” situated 40 km from Agra. The construction of Fatehpur sikri started by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1570 in an honor of sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti. It took 15 years to complete the structure but he had to leave the city due the lake of water and also of the proximity to the Rajput provines.
